Policies & Guidelines
We understand that plans sometimes change due to illness, family commitments, weather, and other unexpected circumstances. Whenever possible, KickingBird PicklePlaza will work with players to postpone or reschedule an activity rather than cancel it. When a cancellation is necessary, the policies below apply. Unless otherwise stated, eligible refunds will be issued as a credit to the player's KickingBird PicklePlaza account.
Memberships ▾
- •All annual memberships require a one-year commitment, regardless of the payment option selected.
- •Members may choose Paid in Full, 3-Easy Pay, or Affirm monthly financing (for applicants who qualify). Selecting an installment or financing option does not change the one-year commitment.
- •An annual membership may be cancelled within the first 30 days of the membership term. The member will receive a refund less 20% of the annual membership fee.
- •A Yearly Auto-Renew Membership may be cancelled for the following membership year by providing at least 48 hours' notice before the scheduled renewal date.
- •Members who experience an illness, injury, or other extenuating circumstance that prevents them from using the facility for one month or longer may request that their membership be paused. Pause requests must be submitted to and approved by KBPP management.
Daily Memberships ▾

- •No-shows are not eligible for a credit or refund.
- •Reservations booked as part of a special event through the KBPP Event Manager require at least 7 days' notice for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event are nonrefundable.
- •If weather makes an outdoor court unplayable, KBPP will cancel the affected reservation, notify the reservation holder, and issue a full account credit.
Tournaments ▾
- •Players may cancel their tournament registration up to 7 days before the tournament begins and receive a refund, less a $15 administrative fee. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the tournament begins are nonrefundable.
- •A player withdrawing from one or more events, while remaining registered for another event in the same tournament, may receive a refund for the withdrawn event(s) without the administrative fee, provided the withdrawal is within the applicable refund period.

- •If tournament shirts or other personalized items are included with registration, the replacement player may receive only the size or item originally ordered. Changes cannot be guaranteed.
- •No refund will be issued when a tournament is cancelled or interrupted due to weather or other circumstances beyond KBPP's control. KBPP will make every reasonable effort to conduct a full or modified tournament using available playable courts.
- •If KBPP cancels a tournament for reasons within our control — such as insufficient registrations, facility conditions, or personnel — a full refund will be issued. Tournament refunds are returned to the original payment method.

Private Events ▾
- •Private, corporate, group, or other special events arranged through the KBPP Event Manager may have cancellation terms included in the event agreement. When an agreement contains its own cancellation policy, those terms supersede this general policy.
- •If the agreement does not contain a separate cancellation policy: the event may be cancelled, but any advance deposit is nonrefundable; KBPP will work with the organizer to find an alternative date whenever possible; if the event is postponed and rescheduled within one year, the deposit may be applied toward the rescheduled event; if not rescheduled within one year, the deposit will be retained by KBPP.

Sponsors & Friends
KickingBird PicklePlaza is owned by the City of Edmond and managed by PicklePlaza, LLC of the Greater OKC Pickleball Club, a 501(c)(7) nonprofit. We are grateful for the brands and community members who help make this facility exceptional.
KickingBird PicklePlaza is one of the finest pickleball venues in Oklahoma — a 24-court destination offering year-round indoor and outdoor brand visibility. Before the indoor bubble was destroyed we averaged over 300 players per day and 200 new members per month. A recent YouGov study (March 2023) found pickleball followers are twice as likely to engage with sponsored content compared to general sports fans.
Please consider becoming a Friend of KickingBird PicklePlaza. The PicklePlaza, LLC is a nonprofit club (501c7), and membership dues only cover a portion of our expenses. Your donations and sponsorships are crucial for quality programming. Your chosen donation level is appreciated, and your paddle will remain on display for 5 years with an anodized name plate bearing your name and donation year.
Our volunteer coordinators will repaint donated paddles to match each donor's level, then add an anodized name plate before mounting at Preservation Palace. Check your closets and garages for unused paddles and drop them off at the Welcome Desk.
The PicklePlaza is supported by the following generous community members — to whom we extend a hearty Thank You!
Contributor names will be listed here as donations are received.
