Open Play
With 24 courts available, scheduled open play runs 9 hours a day. While some courts may be reserved for skill-specific sessions, instructional classes, tournaments, or special events, open play courts are available every day.
- Sign up through CourtReserve for Open Play — ratio of 8 players per court
- If all courts are occupied, use the Paddle Rack System to queue for the next available court
- On Open Play courts, a single game to 11 is played
- Usually 2 players on and 2 players off after they have won 2 games
- Open to members and daily members
- Daily members pay applicable daily play rates
- Open play includes all skill levels
Paddle Rack Etiquette
The paddle rack is how everyone gets a fair turn on the court. A rack is located at each pod of courts and at both Challenge Courts. Follow these simple rules to keep things moving smoothly.
Skill Level Play
With 12 indoor & 12 outdoor courts, KickingBird PicklePlaza can accommodate all skill levels every day of the week. Check the weekly schedule for which courts are designated for each level.
New to pickleball or still learning the fundamentals? This level is a welcoming, pressure-free environment to build your skills and confidence on the court.
Comfortable with the basics and ready for more competitive play? Intermediate courts bring consistent rally play, strategy, and faster-paced games.
High-level competitive play for experienced players. Fast exchanges, advanced third-shot strategies, and point-driven gameplay at its finest.
Specific courts are designated for each skill level at scheduled times throughout the week. Check the CourtReserve app for today's skill level court assignments and availability.

Challenge Courts
Reserve a Court
KickingBird members can reserve courts depending on their membership type. All reservations are made through the CourtReserve system.

- Reserve online through CourtReserve or by phone
- Reservations are made in one-hour increments
- Select the court you wish from those eligible based on availability
- Court reservation fees are due at the time they are made
- Lessons taught by KickingBird instructors have priority for court reservations
- Reservations begin and end on the hour — vacate promptly if the court is reserved next hour
- When rain occurs, outdoor reservations may be cancelled — reserved players will be notified
